April's Key Challenge...

April's idea was wonderful! She took some recycled parts from a wind chime and assembled them with many keys hanging with fishing swivels. She painted the recycled parts (a butterfly on top) with alcohol paints in vivid purples and teals...just beautiful. The sound that they keys make is beautiful. I thought this was such a unique idea for our keys...perfect!

  1. This was such a clever use of the keys. Really lived up to the key challenge and also made such good use of found objects. The sound of this sweet music your key chime makes is lovely. You will be enjoying this piece for years to come. Plus it is so pretty in those colors. Good work!

  2. I'll try to take a picture of my wind chime tomorrow and get it on if Jan doesn't have a clear photo. It was a fun project, and it was funny how the chime came to my mind as soon as Mary challenged us. Thanks, Mary, for giving us another opportunity to get our creative juices flowing. Fun project.

  4. Tried AGAIN to put photo on here but it won't let me. Oh, how frustrating! Maybe I'll try again after I get back from work. I don't think it's me, I think it's the program, because I know HOW to do it, it just won't LET me! Teehee! (Does it sound like I'm rationalizing? Maybe.... :~D

  5. Mary said: So glad someone had a clear photo to replace the other. Normally my camera does well, but all three of the pics I took of it were cloudy...I just love how it turned out and how great it sounds...makes me want to look around and see what I can salvage to put some keys on. I used most of mine, however...hmmmm.
