These three pages and one cover are the ones Mary did in Pinky's calendar. The Dance/Breathe one to on the bottom is the cover to her calendar. I used some paper clippings, old music from an old music book, stamps, and punched out pieces.

Tuesday At Jan's...Cozy

Mary said: Jan had her wood stove going and it was so cozy for S & B. Both April and Joan were missing, but looking forward to seeing them soon. April has returned from Twin Falls, Idaho to help her daughter, Amber get settled in to her new position as kindergarten teacher.

Jan, Pinky, Karen, and I worked on various projects and solved more of the problems of the world as we worked.

You know?...I just wouldn't trade this day for anything. It is just part of my life now. I only wish all other women had a group like this to attend. It is not only creating, but friendship at it's best. We all have had sorrows to share, happiness to share, losses to share, changes to share, etc. We receive so much encouragement from each other. Who could ask for more?

I just wanted to include this pic of the bench that Kit has just finished for our daughter in law, Sandy. He tore apart an old metal bed frame and revamped it into a bench with wooden slats for the seat. Both he and his brother Marc worked on it. Kit just finished putting the boards on yesterday. He coated them with a protective finish.

Mary's Tuesday Doings...

This little book was so fun! I made inchies and little tags to fit inside each page. I still have to add some threads for a book mark and some charms and possibly something different to go on the front. The book on the right upper corner was made by Karen. She is so good at reusing to make something spectacular!

Great Day At Mary's...

What a great day today! We all had our key challenges done and showed them to one another. It always amazes me how different we all are in what we come up with. I love it!

Joan came with Jan, April, and Karen and was a little queezy from the ride down hwy. 202. We were all glad when she started feeling much better.

The following pics are of our individual key projects.

Take a good look by double clicking on any pic to enlarge...Enjoy!

Pinky's Inner Child Key Challenge...

Pinky did a large mixed media collage that included a little mesh envelope with a message inside. It said Key To Your Inner Child. Take a close look at all the detail. She always amazes me. She also did an ATC with a key them. Both were just wonderful!

Also included is a pic of Pinky's finished beading project with cats.

We Missed You Pinky!

It seemed so strange to ride over the hill without Pinky today. Normally, we solve all the problems of the world while we travel to our group. We will see you next week, Pink, at Mary's. The key projects will be due...don't forget.

New Name????

Just something to think about...Are we ready for a new name for our group? We were called S & B...Stitch and B____. You guessed it. As it happens, we have evolved into not only a stitching group, but a mixed media, beading, scrapbooking, painting, etc. etc. group. Can we have some new suggestions for a new name or do we even think that is necessary? Give me some input, OK?

PURPLE TUESDAY... :>))

Mary said: We all had a great day on Tuesday at April's. It is always fun to watch the birds at her house. She gets them all! The whole gang was there...no one missing.

Karen brought her extra large trade cards for us to pick. Every one was so neat and special. It was hard to choose. Double click on the pics for a closer look.

It seems each week one of us brings things to share with the group and Tues. was no exception. Jan brought some great little doily-looking pieces for us each to take. Pinky brought some walnut crystals that turns into a liquid that you can paint over an ATC or card to make them look old. I did try it out and it is fun to work with. April brought us some play money to use on ATCs or cards or ???? Mary brought a cheese cake recipe for a large group she tried at church and loved. This is what makes this group so special...

We all just worked on various projects. Later in the week I got an email from Jan asking if any of us would be interested in doing a little book project, soooooooo of course we will give it a go.

This next week we are to bring back the foam stamps that Jan gave us and some paper made with them to share with each other. I can't wait to see what everyone has done!

Orange Tuesday At Jans...

Today was a great day! We each had the challenge for the week to make 5 each extra large ATCs measuring approx. 3 x 5". There was no particular theme. Scroll down to see the ones that each of us did. I don't know about any one else, but I was thrilled with the ones I traded for! I love each one...so coooool! If you click on any picture, it will zoom larger so you can see the detail. Jan gave each of us two pairs of scissors from her collection and some really neat foam that you can turn into stamps by heating it and pressing any thing into it. See the picture attached. I'm anxious to give it a try. Thank you, Jan for being such a great hostess. The muffins were yummy, as usual.

April was working on a pillow for her favorite Grandson and it turned out so cute. It even has his initials on the back. I know he will love it. See the picture attached.

We were all there today, Joan included. There is no where else I would love to spend my Tuesdays than with these exceptional women...my friends.

Karen's Challenge...

Karen couldn't just do one challenge...she did two and both of them were so her. She really knows how to use every scrap of paper she has to make something so neat. Each one is so great. Look at them up close (double click) and you will see all the detail she puts into her work. I am always amazed at all of these women and what they come up with. It is a privilege to meet with them each Tuesday.

OK...so Karen, you got an upside down one too :>)) You might all be asking me what I have been drinking this afternoon...

Jan...do you know how you can delete a pic once it goes on????

DAWG Round Robin...

Hi Girlies...Got my last two cards and finished them today to pass on to the next person. Just thought I would share them with you.

I know...It's Monday and I'm Just Posting!

Mary said: Last Tuesday we helped Joan celebrate her birthday and had a surprise visit from Gwen Jarvela. We all worked on various creations, but mostly had birthday fun and lots of laughing going on. Pinky worked on an iris folding projects that was driving her nuts. Take a look at the pics and see how our day went.

Red Tuesday At Mary's Place...

Mary says: Each week is so fun and this week we all kind of did our own thing and just visited and worked the time away. I made a pot of chicken soup and we each had some of that for lunch. The pictures I am showing are of Karen, Pinky, April, Jan, and myself. Joan wasn't able to be with us this week, but will see her at Jan's next week for sure. I heard rumors of a birthday coming up...

Jan has been working on her hand piece and adding embellishments as she goes. Can't wait to see how she will end up using this piece. Pinky worked on envelopes. Karen and April worked on cards and Karen did an ATC. I worked on some ATCs. I think I am hooked on those little pieces of art...so fun to do. Jan brought us all a couple pieces of rice paper. The texture is so neat. I am anxious to try painting on it, or maybe sewing on it...hmmmm....

Remember Girlies...THE CHALLENGE IS DUE MAY 4.....

A little late on Red Tuesday...sorry...

Mary said: Here it is, Saturday evening, and I still haven't posted pics from Red Tuesday at my house! Sorry girls! I've been pricing all the stuff in the garage for the garage sale here next weekend.

Kit and I went garage saling this morning and I bought a totem pole! Actually...two, but the one is really fading fast, so we put him on his side like the ones in Canada that are going back to the earth. I'm enclosing a pic of the better one. These people were moving and wanted to sell them cheap....wheeeeeeee!

Last Few Pics of Flag Book Making...

I wanted to show you here, the cute little dog Jan painted. Isn't it fun? I love all the bright colors.

Mary said: In order to see all the pics of flag book making, scroll down the next few posts as I could only put 5 pics in each post. Keep going down...:>))
