This give-a-way comes from our member, Karen Eshelby. It consists of a mixed media decorated round box just loaded with things to put on cards or use in mixed media art. It is full to the brim! The next item is a package of 87 sheets of colored cardstock/matstock 4.5x6.5. It is multicolored and textured...great to use when making cards or other mixed media art. Last, but not least is a package of five mixed media cards created by Karen Eshelby. Right now, I wish I weren't a member of the group and I could put a comment down. Karen makes the most fantastic cards.

The Calendars Are Done!

We had our final unveiling of our calendars on Tuesday and it was so fun to see the next phase. The best part was that we got take them home with us! The cowboy themed one was done by Pinky for Karen. The quote about loving animals was Mary's for Jan. Karen is holding a page she did for Mary's calendar. April is showing a Feb. page for Pinky that was all in pinks, of course... Jan shows a page she did for April's calendar. This was a fun project and one that seems to be an annual event now.

DAWG State Fair Challenge...ATCs

In my DAWG online group we did a trade for "State Fair". This was fun to do. The little calf was sent to me by Brenda Thour who is also a DAWG member. I did two and sent Judy O'Hara both of them...it was a fun project.

Karen Did Two Key Projects!

Karen never fails to amaze us in what she comes up with. She did two key projects! Her first is a book that she has been making over a period of time. She used her keys to finish the cover and added keys to the binding. It is a wonderful book and has many wonderful memories inside. She is just a natural at mixed media art.

Her second project was placed on a piece of recyled wood found in the barn. She added a crow, real crow feathers, a heart, and of course, 4 keys. It also has a very old square nail on the bottom that holds the keys. She told us it would go on wall. As with everything she makes, it is so neat! Karen can take just about anything and turn it into something wonderful.

Blue Tuesday At Karen's...

It is always fun to go to Karen's. Her house is decorated all Western and so many fun things to see. Thank you, Karen, for all the goodies to munch and the good company.

Blue Tuesday was April's birthday and I have enclosed some pics of that special time.

We all did a lot of yacking and concentrated on the birthday girl...so fun! April didn't want to go back to work...she wanted to go through her birthday stash.

Last week when I made my flag book, I wasn't happy with the binding part and was planning on taking it apart. When we all talked it over, I decided just to put the pages in and finish it. The next one I make I plan to take more time on the binding.

PURPLE TUESDAY... :>))

Mary said: Tuesday was renamed Purple Tuesday when it is at April's. That is a very FAVORITE color of hers, so very appropriate. Jan was good enough to guide us through making a Flag Book. It is a neat little book (if you scroll down to the older post, you will see Jan's finished one) that you can put ATCs in, pictures, photos, collections of small things, etc...very coooool. In the pictures you will see the steps we took to work on them. Interesting how several people can work on the same project and they all have different personalities in their work. I love that! I could only put on 5 pics here, so continuing above..
