Jan's Weaving and Progress on Her Rag Rug...

Jan made the neatest little weaving today on a bead loom! She used all kinds of fibers, ribbons, strings, etc. to make a miniature weaving. We all couldn't believe how quickly she did this. She had started at home and finished here. The first pic is what it looked like when we first saw it and the other was when it was done. It will be fun to see what she will end up making out of it. Don't forget to double click on the pics to see the variety of fibers, etc. she used.

She also worked on her rag rug and it is turning out great!...so colorful. She used fabric in hers instead of sheets and it is looking gooooood.

Lyla's Books Came!!!! Yea!

I am just showing you a few of the pages from Lyla's altered books. She can put the neatest combination of goodies on a page to make it just shine. All of us were so thrilled with the books that we ordered. They are wonderful!

Pic #1 Page from Lyla's book with raven.

Pic #2 Another page from a different book. I'm just trying to give you an idea of what she does...amazing!

Pic #3 This is the book Mary chose. It has a Fox theme...how coooool is that???

Pic #4 Another couple of pages from Mary's book.

Pic #5 Jan's heart rag rug that I absently left off of the previous post. This one looks hard to me, but she makes it look easy...

TUESDAY IS OUR FAVORITE DAY!!!!

It seemed like a 100 years since we have all been together. Snowy days and icy roads, flat tires, and other conditions prevented us from meeting at Pinky's for several weeks. It was just so nice to be together again. As usual, there was lots of laughing going on. I have to tell you that sometimes I laugh so hard, I cry! When they (whoever they are...)say laughter is the best medicine, they are soooo right! On Tuesdays my blood pressure always behaves itself :>)) It was just so good to be together, working on projects, and just laughing. You couldn't have asked for a better day.

Pinky made us a lovely lunch and even put the leafs in her table so we could really spread out.

The pictures I am including this time are of April's cards she was working on, Karen's cards she was making, Jan's friendship bracelet (which we are hoping she will show us how to do one of these days), Pinky's newest iris folding cards, and Mary's cards. The card makers were on a roll for sure!

Mary's Little Book and Cards...

Mary said: I finally finished my little book and will be sending it to my friend, Karen, in Mosier, Oregon. Each of the little pockets of the book contain a tag or inchie or? There are many surprises in the pages. I tied some colorful fibers to tiny shells and beads for the finishing touch.

When I finished with the book, I worked on two cards, so it was a pretty productive time.

Animal Scene...Bonny (Pinky) Wasley

This page is so neat...three D animals and leaves. She used stamps for trees, ribbon, stars on a beautiful background paper of trees. I love it!
