Kit and Marc's Art Work...

Mary said: I just have to send this picture of what Kit and Marc have been up to. They are doing something to surprise me and tonight I got to see half of it. We needed a gate for our new garden and they put their heads together and this is what they came up with for half of it. It is soooooo cooooooool! Marc is a welder and Kit welds too and between the two of them, they did the sunshine that I have put on things since I was in high school. I love it!...and I have only seen half of it :>))

Karen's and Her Sister, Lyla's Flag Book...

Mary said: As I said below, Karen brought her extra large trade cards to trade with us this week. She also brought a flag book that her sister, Lyla, made. During this past year we have been able to see several of the cards, post cards, trade cards and now this flag book that Lyla has made. We would love to have her come join us some Tuesday. That would be so fun! Enjoy the pics.

PURPLE TUESDAY... :>))

Mary said: We all had a great day on Tuesday at April's. It is always fun to watch the birds at her house. She gets them all! The whole gang was there...no one missing.

Karen brought her extra large trade cards for us to pick. Every one was so neat and special. It was hard to choose. Double click on the pics for a closer look.

It seems each week one of us brings things to share with the group and Tues. was no exception. Jan brought some great little doily-looking pieces for us each to take. Pinky brought some walnut crystals that turns into a liquid that you can paint over an ATC or card to make them look old. I did try it out and it is fun to work with. April brought us some play money to use on ATCs or cards or ???? Mary brought a cheese cake recipe for a large group she tried at church and loved. This is what makes this group so special...

We all just worked on various projects. Later in the week I got an email from Jan asking if any of us would be interested in doing a little book project, soooooooo of course we will give it a go.

This next week we are to bring back the foam stamps that Jan gave us and some paper made with them to share with each other. I can't wait to see what everyone has done!

Orange Tuesday At Jans...

Today was a great day! We each had the challenge for the week to make 5 each extra large ATCs measuring approx. 3 x 5". There was no particular theme. Scroll down to see the ones that each of us did. I don't know about any one else, but I was thrilled with the ones I traded for! I love each one...so coooool! If you click on any picture, it will zoom larger so you can see the detail. Jan gave each of us two pairs of scissors from her collection and some really neat foam that you can turn into stamps by heating it and pressing any thing into it. See the picture attached. I'm anxious to give it a try. Thank you, Jan for being such a great hostess. The muffins were yummy, as usual.

April was working on a pillow for her favorite Grandson and it turned out so cute. It even has his initials on the back. I know he will love it. See the picture attached.

We were all there today, Joan included. There is no where else I would love to spend my Tuesdays than with these exceptional women...my friends.

Karen's Challenge...

Karen couldn't just do one challenge...she did two and both of them were so her. She really knows how to use every scrap of paper she has to make something so neat. Each one is so great. Look at them up close (double click) and you will see all the detail she puts into her work. I am always amazed at all of these women and what they come up with. It is a privilege to meet with them each Tuesday.

OK...so Karen, you got an upside down one too :>)) You might all be asking me what I have been drinking this afternoon...

Jan...do you know how you can delete a pic once it goes on????

Pinky's Challenge...

Pinky did a really wonderful collage of all of her favorite things. She was worried because she didn't think it would "measure up," but it was fantastic! There was so much to look at that you had to look and look to see it all...very cooooool.

Jan's Challenge...

Jan did hers in the using fabric, needle felting, beading, embroidery and probably more, but I can't remember. Fill us in, Jan, if I forgot something. Anyway...it is just beautiful. Note the tiny beads on the two corners. This requires much patience. Jan is the most patient person I know. She was even working on it when we were together and we didn't know it was her challenge!

April made the neatest little flip booklet of her Favorite Day, which included all of them :>)) It really is so neat. She put so much time and thought into it. She said she even made a rough draft of it to see how it would lay out.

April...I apologize! One landed upside down and it was Tuesday, too! The pictures are so tiny when I browse, I can't tell what direction they are...bummer. I will get this thing yet! It would help if I wasn't taking the pics upside down! :>))

PINK TUESDAY...

We had such a fun day on Tuesday at Pink's. There was a lot of laughing going on as we discussed various subjects and worked on our individual projects. It was May 4 and the deadline for our Challenge. The challenge was to make something that would be the size of a piece of computer paper. It could be any media...paper, painting, fabric, quilted, photography, etc.
I am going to start with mine so it will go to the bottom and someone else will end up at the very top. My favorite was My Favorite Cowboy...Roy Rogers. I really had fun with this and hope to put it in the Cowboy Room.

I put the close up upside down and couldn't remove it . Bear with me...

DAWG Round Robin...

Hi Girlies...Got my last two cards and finished them today to pass on to the next person. Just thought I would share them with you.

See Joan's Birthday Below...

Mary said: Just wanted to show you what Jan was working on. She is always doing a bit of hand work...so neat. Also, our friend, Gwen visiting with us. It was, as usual, a wonderful day.

I know...It's Monday and I'm Just Posting!

Mary said: Last Tuesday we helped Joan celebrate her birthday and had a surprise visit from Gwen Jarvela. We all worked on various creations, but mostly had birthday fun and lots of laughing going on. Pinky worked on an iris folding projects that was driving her nuts. Take a look at the pics and see how our day went.
