Missed Some...:>))

I wanted to enclose this pic of Pink's studio. She has her card making supplies organized and you can see she has things out to work on cards constantly. I think she is hoping her new house will have a room just for her work...me too! She has found her passion...card making.

Tuesday At Pinky's...

We were so sorry that a series of events prevented the other three from making it to the peninsula on Tues. Pinky and I trudged forward, however, and had a really fun day! Pinky made me the yummiest ham and cheese sandwich and a hot cup of tea. We both worked on cards and were surprised at how much we got done.

The pics below show Pinky's tea bag folding cards. They turned out just beautiful! She makes these look so easy, but I KNOW they aren't.

I worked on an anniversary card for Matt and Jessi. Can you believe it is 4 years??? I also made a couple cards for friends and some spares. It was a very fun day.

Lyla O. Is Now An Honorary Member of S & B!

GIVE A WAY COMING SOOOOOON!

Happy Birthday Karen!

#1 Our birthday girl...Karen
#2 Pinky and April
#3 Everyone around the table getting ready for the Valentine exchange
#4 Jan's new project...double click on this amazing piece.
#5 Karen's sister, Lyla's altered journal given as part of our future give a way...

What a great day it was! We celebrated Karen's birthday and what a haul this lady made! She loves to make cards, journals, altered books...you name it. She got all kinds of things to work with today and actually did 4 ATCs while we were together from the gifts she received today!...pretty amazing, aye?

April did the honors of preparing home made chicken soup and rolls for us. We had chips, nuts, veggie tray, and coffee and tea. She had special cake for Karen's birthday. It was a feast. She even had sparkling apple juice for a toast to the birthday girl. Karen blew out her candle and made her wish...what a day!

I can't tell you how much it means each week to be together...so much encouragement from each other on projects we make. It is a rare type of friendship and one I would never want to trade.

Pinky gave us each small cigar boxes to alter. April gave us each some raffia-type fiber to use on our projects. Karen brought us each a Valentine cup filled with goodies, including CHOCOLATE! I gave everyone a felted flower pin to alter. We will see what we come up with on the altered projects.

Valentine ATC Exchange...

We did an annual Valentine ATC Exchange today...very fun! The neat part, this year is that Karen's sister, Lyla joined us. She made us each an ATC to trade. Thank you, Lyla! We all loved your ATCs.

#1 Pinky's ATCs
#2 Jan's ATCs
#3 Karen's ATCs
#4 Lyla's ATCs
#5 April's ATCs

All of these were just totally amazing. Each of us are so different in what we make and that always makes it fun to see what we come up with.

Happy Valentines Day! February 14

Just wanted to share this pic with you of a card my friend, Sharon, made for us. She was in a terrible car accident this past fall and still not 100%, but made this card. Card making is her favorite thing to do, so I consider this a very good sign.

Give Away Coming Up!

In the very near future, the members of this blog will be putting together a give away. Jan is going to help us with the rules as she is more familiar with these than the rest of us. We will have the details on here and pic of the goodies sometime at the end of February...Keep Watching...

Tuesday At Pinky's...We Missed You!!!!

First of all...We missed you all!

We did have a fun day, however :>))

Pinky fixed us a wonderful sandwich of black forest ham...very yummy!

She worked on Iris Folding cards...some Valentines and some not. She has a way with color and the schemes she chose for all of them were great. She tried a fish this time and it turned out fantastic. She folds all those tiny pieces that make up the design on the cards. It is pretty time consuming, but the outcome is one of a kind.

I worked on Valentine ATCs. I only put on one pic because it is one I am sending to a friend. Actually, I just realized I sent her a card and was going to put this inside and didn't...sheesh! She will get her ATC a little late, I am afraid.

I also tried a card I had seen at the local scrapbooking supply store. Every other square is raised up with cut foam under. I wasn't happy with it, as the only color of foam I could find here was pink...yes, pink. I should have done the card on a dark background and used a dark foam. It would have hidden much :>)) I will try it again, however, because I do like the look of it.

Another Great Trade!!!

I just had to show a pic of the great trade I made for a piece of amethyst that I had. I don't know if you can see it all, but there are papers, embossing powders, embossing pen, fibers, stamped paper clay pieces, collage papers, squashed pennies...WOW! I am thrilled!!! Such a neat trade. Wow! Wow! Wow! I traded on www.farmgirlsisterhood.org in the barter section. This is so fun! I'm not forcing you, but if you have craft things you aren't using, it is a good way to get rid of them.

Adding On A Few Pics...

Of course, we can't forget Rocky!...our mascot. He was snoozing most of the day, but his head perked up when he heard the rustle of the doggy cookie bag :>))

These are more cards everyone was working on. I can't how you my ATCs because they are for a trade amongst us for Valentines day. We are going to trade on Karen's birthday celebration day. It will be a few days after her real birthday. Those are always fun days.

Tuesday...Our Favorite Day!

It was a little quiet on Tues without Pinky there. She had company from Portland for a visit. I drove over the hill by myself and realized just how much she and I talk when we travel along...very quiet!

April shared the story of her mom giving her a beautiful hand stitched stool. It was passed down from her grandmother to April's mom, to April. April hopes to pass it on to Amber one day. It was a present to her grandmother on her 40th birthday from a friend. What a wonderful present to get on your 40th BD.

I don't know if it was because Pink wasn't there, or what, but I think all of us were on snail mode. I plugged along and did some Valentine ATCs, Jan worked on making April some beautiful envelopes from a recycled calendar, Karen worked on cards, and April worked on Valentines. We all did get something done, but kind of dragging. Do you ever have days like that???

The meal was yummy and we all went on overload with food...sooooo goooood. Thanks, April.

We talked about having a give away on our blog and what we would each add to it. We are all thinking this will be really fun. More on that later in the month...

Question....Jan...

I love the pic of all of us and was wondering since you have that on your camera if you could put it somehow permanently on the top of the blog????? Would Ya???? :>))
