This blog will follow a group of 6 women who have been meeting and creating since the year 2000. We started out only creating with fabric...doing art wall hangings and quilts, clothing, and more. We have now expanded into creating with fabric, doing ATCs, making cards, hand dying fabric, etc. You name it, we are willing to try it. Come along with us on our adventure!

Egg Decorating
We had a workshop at Karen's to decorate eggs. She had a big bowl full of goose eggs for us. Jan and April started using a tool to blow the eggs out first, since we were planning to collage on them. We got two eggs done and decided it was going to take all day to blow them all out, so we just hard boiled the rest of them.
Above shows two eggs that were first colored using alcohol inks, then had pieces of paper napkins collaged over the eggs. I love that little fox image.
We had a package of Jane Davenport mixed media collage napkins and everyone loved them and used them.
Above shows Pinky's alcohol ink colored, pen doodled egg in progress.
Three eggs.
Another view, same eggs.
April created this gem using one of the Jane Davenport napkin images. Worked great!!
Here are all the eggs. It was a lot of fun! Everyone inspired each other with their techniques.
Next up, April has challenged us to try a paper mache project. Till then, be well.

Jan, thank you so much for posting pics of all our eggs! What a fun day at Karen's new place! It was fun using those gorgeous Jane Davenport napkins that you shared with us! They are pretty fantastic! And then to use alcohol inks and FEATHERS! Karen loves her some feathers!!! It was fun to have Keely and Peyton there to join us, too! I thought all the eggs turned out so neat. Just too bad that most all of them will eventually go bad! You'd think if we can put a man on the moon, we could figure out how to blow out an egg without it taking ALL DAY! hahaha!
ReplyDeleteOver the years I have tried many egg decorating techniques. No little ones left so I probably am done with it. I especially like the napkin technique with the face. I'm looking forward to the paper mache' post. I LOVE that.

Happy Easter
Carol, I'm looking forward to trying the paper mache thing, I'll be sure and post results!
DeleteLook at the way my acquaintance Wesley Virgin's tale begins in this shocking and controversial VIDEO.
ReplyDeleteWesley was in the army-and shortly after leaving-he unveiled hidden, "mind control" secrets that the government and others used to get anything they want.
As it turns out, these are the exact same methods lots of famous people (especially those who "became famous out of nowhere") and the greatest business people used to become rich and famous.
You've heard that you only use 10% of your brain.
That's mostly because most of your brainpower is UNCONSCIOUS.
Perhaps this conversation has even taken place IN YOUR own head... as it did in my good friend Wesley Virgin's head 7 years ago, while riding a non-registered, beat-up bucket of a car with a suspended driver's license and $3.20 on his banking card.
"I'm so frustrated with living check to check! Why can't I turn myself successful?"
You've been a part of those those thoughts, am I right?
Your very own success story is waiting to happen. All you need is to believe in YOURSELF.
