Tuesday at Pinky's...

These are five of the calendar pages we did for each other. You can double click to see the detail.

I think it is true of all of us...we love the pages we get for our calendars. #1 is Pinky's for Lyla, #2 is Mary's for Karen, #3 is Karen's for Pinky, #4 Jan's for Mary, and #5 is Lyla's for April. I sure hope I got this right, as I think I got these a bit mixed up when jotting them down.

I have lots more pics and will just put them on here so you can see.

Next week, we are to meet at Karen's for some alcohol ink painting fun...see you there!

Mary Was Being Sneaky...

I hope no one realized I was working on my post cards :>)) They have to be mailed by the 20th, so I needed to get on the stick! I did do a couple cards to try and fool 'em. I'm enclosing a pic of a thank you card.

Karen (alias Gobblezoomburp)

We missed Pinky for a good part of our day as she had an appt. She joined us in the afternoon until the rest of the gang had to head back to Jewell.

Karen, as usual, was quietly making her little masterpieces. She told us that her sister, Lyla (honorary member :>)) would be joining us in June for our Tuesday at Karen's. We are all excited to meet Lyla.

Can you tell she loves dogs and birds? Double click to see the detail.

Hi Lyla!

Tuesday At Pinky's...

We were so sorry that a series of events prevented the other three from making it to the peninsula on Tues. Pinky and I trudged forward, however, and had a really fun day! Pinky made me the yummiest ham and cheese sandwich and a hot cup of tea. We both worked on cards and were surprised at how much we got done.

The pics below show Pinky's tea bag folding cards. They turned out just beautiful! She makes these look so easy, but I KNOW they aren't.

I worked on an anniversary card for Matt and Jessi. Can you believe it is 4 years??? I also made a couple cards for friends and some spares. It was a very fun day.

Another Great Trade!!!

I just had to show a pic of the great trade I made for a piece of amethyst that I had. I don't know if you can see it all, but there are papers, embossing powders, embossing pen, fibers, stamped paper clay pieces, collage papers, squashed pennies...WOW! I am thrilled!!! Such a neat trade. Wow! Wow! Wow! I traded on www.farmgirlsisterhood.org in the barter section. This is so fun! I'm not forcing you, but if you have craft things you aren't using, it is a good way to get rid of them.

Forgot My Camera Today!

Sorry to say I forgot my camera today! April did take some pics and hopefully will post them on here. Jan taught us how to make a tri fold shutter card and they were so much fun. I only got two made, but April did about 4. I think Pinky and Karen made two.

We were at Karen's today and as usual, the time went way too fast. Karen prepared for us a feast for lunch. Jan made us some beautiful papers to use on our work.

As usual, our Tuesday was a wonderful time of friendship and creation.

The Calendars Are Done!

We had our final unveiling of our calendars on Tuesday and it was so fun to see the next phase. The best part was that we got take them home with us! The cowboy themed one was done by Pinky for Karen. The quote about loving animals was Mary's for Jan. Karen is holding a page she did for Mary's calendar. April is showing a Feb. page for Pinky that was all in pinks, of course... Jan shows a page she did for April's calendar. This was a fun project and one that seems to be an annual event now.

These are pages that Pinky did for Jan's calendar. Sorry, Pink about the sideways deer! In the Flower pic, she used a heart punch and made it into a flower...sooo neat. In the page with the leaves, etc., she used some real leaves that Jan had given us all and some sticker leaves. I love the cat on the crackle background!

Tuesday at Karen's...

We had such a wonderful day at Karen's house. I just love her place...she has it all decorated western and sooooo neat!

I had to show you a lot of what goes on those Tuesdays...Take a look at this plate. Karen served us the most yummy lunch. Sometimes we take our lunches and sometimes we get special treats like this!

Jan started a new project with beautiful blue beads with a sparkle of gold thrown in for good measure. As you can see, she's only just begun, so it will be exciting to see how she finishes it up. She is stitching on a piece of felt.

I feel really lame today as on Tuesday I didn't take my usual pics and really don't have much to share with you today. I think I was on jetlag from the trip Pinky and I took with our girls to Depoe Bay.

If anyone else has some pics to post from last week...go for it!

All I have here is some cards I started and some pieces of the calendar I am doing for Karen.

Jan gave us all 4 glue sticks that she got a good buy on. She knows we will put them to good use. Thanks, Jan!

HAPPY TRAILS!

ps...note I put the food on two times. What does that tell you??????

Karen's Work For The Day...

Karen doesn't fool around on Tuesdays! As you can see, she was busy making cards and ATCs. I love the sunshine one...although I admit I am partial to sunshines :>)) Karen can make card making look so easy and she uses everything she can find to produce beautiful cards. She recycles so many things to include in her work. I love to see what she will do next.

In this picture, she is picking out collars for her two buddies.

Jan's Little Books Project...

Jan Brought 4 books with her to show us. Three, were ones she made and one was one a friend online had sent her. In the picture below, she used fabric on the cover of the one with the blueberries. All of them turned out so well. Each one was unique and had a style all of it's own. Jan used some of her hand made paper, asssorted threads and charms, and made them ready to fill with anything of her choosing. This was such a fun project. She brought her faithful friend, Rocky...snoozing in the pic below.

Karen's Little Book Project...

Karen worked on two little books today. Her other book is at the upper left corner and will be included when I show a pic of all the books together. I apologize for not keeping better track this time of who's was who. Both of her books had stamping on them and so colorful. She made her pages on this one from pages Jan had made herself...beautiful colors.

April's New Project...

When April stayed at Lincoln City not too long ago with her Mom and then, Bob, she made the house owner a wonderful little book to go in the beach cabin. She forgot to take a pic, but it is very similar to the new one she is starting. Each page was a letter that she did in mixed media. When the book is put together, it spells BEACH. She decorated each page.

This new project spells create. You can see she is just in the process of cutting out the letters. It will be so fun to see what she comes up with to decorate the pages. She made me (Mary) a book for my birthday that just brought me to tears, so I know this one will be amazing.

Karen's Challenge...

Karen couldn't just do one challenge...she did two and both of them were so her. She really knows how to use every scrap of paper she has to make something so neat. Each one is so great. Look at them up close (double click) and you will see all the detail she puts into her work. I am always amazed at all of these women and what they come up with. It is a privilege to meet with them each Tuesday.

OK...so Karen, you got an upside down one too :>)) You might all be asking me what I have been drinking this afternoon...

Jan...do you know how you can delete a pic once it goes on????

Pinky's Challenge...

Pinky did a really wonderful collage of all of her favorite things. She was worried because she didn't think it would "measure up," but it was fantastic! There was so much to look at that you had to look and look to see it all...very cooooool.

Last Few Pics of Flag Book Making...

I wanted to show you here, the cute little dog Jan painted. Isn't it fun? I love all the bright colors.

Mary said: In order to see all the pics of flag book making, scroll down the next few posts as I could only put 5 pics in each post. Keep going down...:>))
