MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Merry Christmas Everyone...The centerpiece pictured was made by April for Cathy's birthday. Just thought it would make a nice Christmas photo. Scroll down to see the photos of Cathy's paintings and our final calendar viewing.

April made us a beautiful lunch. Cathy brought us all bags of cookies (yum!), and April gave us each a goodie bag. We also exchanged Christmas cards. We will have our actual Christmas party in January and exchange gifts then.

We may not be meeting for the next two weeks...depending on what everyone is doing and where they are going for the holidays.

S&Bers...feel free to post on here if you are working on projects at home for Christmas or just for fun and will see you in a couple weeks! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. God bless you.

More from last week at Pinky's

Karen was getting a big kick out of the little reindeer that Pinky gave her. She is so talented and balanced the reindeer on her little chocolate snowman;-)
This is what Mary was working on, creating more Christmas cards. They look marvelous!
Karen gave us all hand made cards and this is the one she gave to Jan, along with the envelope it came in. Nearly as much work goes into the envelope as into the card! Lovely. The dogs on the card are Karen's two dogs, Joe and YumYum. Sweet! Thanks Karen! And thanks to Pinky for the stocking full of goodies and for the delicious lunch you laid out for us. Your house looked so nice, all decorated and warm.

Use Your Old Cards to Make New...Fun!!!

This was kind of fun...I just used parts of old Christmas cards to make new cards. I really enjoyed this project because I do like to recycle and reuse and this is another perfect way to do just that...

Terrific Tuesday

Yes, it was another terrific Tuesday.  We met at April's and had as our guest Cathy again, she comes clear from Portland.  I took only one photo of her and it didn't turn out so I won't post it here.  I did send it to her so she could see how I made her look rather like a zombie.  Not for showing to the world;-)
Pinky brought her altered cigar box and we all agreed it turned out great!  I love the color.  She used paper and additionally added some gold pen markings on it.  The top element is a smashed bottle cap with a cute bird on it.  The whole box is so spare and elegant, just lovely.  Well done, Pinky!
April worked on hers some more, she wasn't satisfied with it last week.  She sanded it down, added more papers and shaped elements.  I love the tiny perfume bottle that she is using as a knob for the lid.  She still intends to do further work on it.  And artists work is never done!

Karen was creating cards.  She makes great unusual cards.
Mary was creating Christmas cards.  Here is one example.  Wouldn't you love to receive one of these hand made cards?  Jan was working on a needle felted piece, doing some hand embroidery on it.
Cathy brought these scrumptious shortbread cookies.  Heavenly!  Thanks Cathy!  April had put out plenty of snacks too so we all left a pound or two heavier, but with light hearts.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas. This is a little tree that my long time friend, Linda Crosby, made for Kit and I. I love it and cherish it because Linda is very sick and took the time to make this for us...very special.

I Did It Again!

Went to S & B and forgot disk for my camera. Jan was working on a wonderful little piece with beading. April was working on Christmas Cards. Our friend, Joan, was able to come this time and we were so glad to see her. It was a crazy day with lots of laughing going on. We discuss the most amazing things :>)) Karen was working with her favorite thing...paper and Pinky too. I worked on some Christmas cards that should have been done a long time ago...Tuesdays are always incredible days together. April made two beautiful wreaths and of course...I wanted to take pictures. One was a green wreath for outside and the other was one made of all kinds of pine cones...just beautiful. I feel bad about only adding pics of my cards, but will make up for it as we go along...hoping to take my camera each time to get pics of my friend's work. These are the cards I worked on.
